British Equestrian has launched a brand new initiative to allow everyone access to qualified coaching. The 18-month programme – called Equi-Youth coaching – has been designed to teach students the skills they need to coach equitation. Applications opened last May, and candidates needed to demonstrate significant knowledge of horse care and a strong ability to ride in all three paces and over poles. The programme works with a range of urban riding centres, including the Ebony Horse Club, Park Palace Ponies and the Urban Equestrian Academy to allow volunteers the opportunity to apply.
