WHY STOMACHS RUMBLE
What’s your gut trying to tell you with its growling and grumbling?

Up to 2.3 litres of gas is made in the body each day
Most of the time your stomach doesn’t make its presence known. But every now and then, especially if you’re sitting in a quiet room, it might begin talking to you. This could be in the form of a rumble, gurgle or tiny roar. So what is this organ trying to tell you? The technical term for these abdominal noises is borborygmi. Most of the time, borborygmi are caused by a combination of an empty stomach and activity in the digestive system. This means that the noise can serve as a beneficial reminder that you haven’t eaten much food in a while.
