You no longer get a charger with your iPhone iPhone news
Apple has stated that it wants all of its products to be carbon neutral by 2030. By removing the charger from the iPhone 12 box, Apple is claiming that it is doing its bit for the environment. Without it, the box for the iPhone 12 range can be considerably smaller, which means a smaller carbon footprint. There are also no EarPods included with the iPhone 12. The only lead included is a Lightning-to-USB-C cable, which could cause problems for those who haven’t got a USB-C device to charge the iPhone from. The other option, a MagSafe charger for wireless charging, costs £39 from the Apple Store.
