Control Centre
An easy-to-access panel of essential settings for Mac and iOS. You can access it on iOS by swiping up or down from the top/ bottom of the screen, (depending on your device), and in macOS Big Sur it resides to the right of the menu bar.
Screen Time
This is a relatively new feature on Mac and iOS designed to make users aware of how much time we are spending on our devices. Located in System Preferences or the iOS Settings app, Screen Time monitors how long you spend in apps and allows you to impose restrictions.
QuickTime Player
First developed in 1991 by Apple, QuickTime Player is one of the native apps within macOS, and is capable of handling various formats of digital video, picture, sound, panoramic images and interactivity.

1 Find the app
While iOS has the Voice Memos app and Screen Recording function for quickly recording audio, on Mac you will need to use the QuickTime Player app. Locate and launch this app to get started.
