Pages seems to have a mind of its own; it’s like it starts up with random views for the document window, panels, sidebar and so on. You never know what font will be used and which tabs in the Inspector will be selected. Will the Comments panel be shown or not?
Here we show you how to set default settings in Preferences so that new documents are created the way you prefer, with the right font, text size, zoom setting and so on. Change any of several document view settings and they are saved with the document, so you can have different defaults for different documents. Let’s work through these custom Pages settings.
