INK STUDY
FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE
“This ink painting is of Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson in Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse. The film is black and white and has beautifully composed shots, so it was the ideal movie to do studies from. In this painting, I was focusing on trying to get depth and subtlety into the darks of the picture.”
