Summer is well and truly upon us. In the past, I have always seen this as a time when things slow down a little while people take their summer breaks, but our industry seems to be busier than ever.
One of the nicest things about this is the fact the world is opening up again in what feels like a more normal way, with lots of events taking place. Not only did we get a chance to celebrate our sector’s finest at the aesthetic medicine awards (see pages 26-29 for pictures from the night), but there seem to be so many more face-to-face events going on, from press launches to educational days and clinic opens. As such, our Out and About pages are making a comeback. We haven’t run them since early 2020, so it's so lovely to be able to feature them again. Go to pages 18-19 to see what's been going on. Also, in this issue, we delve into the importance of well-being and self-care in the face of burnout (pages 40-43) and look at how you can support your staff in their financial wellbeing (p96). As well as this, we examine the impact of metabolic syndrome on the skin (p36-39), how thyroid issues can impact beauty (pp56-58) and why opening up discussions on menopause is vital (p72-74).
