This elaborately decorated Derby porcelain plate with a scene of Chatsworth House, named on the reverse, was probably painted c.1820 by William Cotton. It is with Jupiter Antiques at £695 at the Worcestershire Antiques Fair. Four watercolours by Cotton reside in the Royal Academy’s permanent collection. His delicate landscapes and rural scenes were exhibited in London from 1834-43.
