Clubs pedal together for annual Christmas ride

Three of Arran’s cycling clubs joined together to enjoy their shared love of the sport on their annual Christmas ride-out.

Taking place the day after torrential rain and storms on Saturday the Arran Belles, Arran MTBs and the Arran Velo Club met in Lamlash in cold but dry conditions.

Covering a large portion of the island and keeping the groupings manageable, the Belles cycled south, completing the Kildonan Loop, whilst the Velo Club headed over the Ross Road for a southend loop. The MTBs stuck to their preferred terrain and explored the hills and trails above Brodick and Lamlash.
