Taste of Arran scoops a proud place on NFU menu

Taste of Arran produce in the form of Arran Dairies ice cream was this week included in a carefully selected menu of the finest Scottish produce served at the National Farmers Union (NFU) Scotland’s annual dinner and AGM, which took place at the Radisson Blu, Glasgow.

The menu, which featured produce from across the country, started off with a twist on the traditional Scottish haggis dish, which was served as a scotch egg with rumbledethumps and homemade brown sauce.

The centrepiece of the meal was a pairing of Scotch lamb and beef. The two meats were served as roasted lamb rump, ballotine of beef shin, beef cheek croquette served with fondant potato, caramelised parsnip puree, confit tomato and red wine jus.
