Let’s hope it’s a good’un, shall we? We keep hoping things will improve but it’s tough out there, let's face it. The cost of everything has increased by a staggering amount, they tell us inflation is 10% but honestly that seems very low to me.
Fuel, electricity, gas, food bills have gone through the roof and these are things we all need and are difficult to cut down on. We haven't had the heating on yet in our house, we have a blanket over us to watch the telly in the evenings, but the bill is still huge. Makes you wonder if it will ever end.
Covid rates have gone through the roof again. Thank Christ the number of deaths is down. Let’s pray some new variant doesn't come along! Every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to be going on strike, talk about 'the winter of discontent'. Sorry to bring the mood down but I think most people are feeling the pinch, not something we want to feel like again at Christmas.
