Graven Hill stars in own Grand Designs TV show

Have you been keeping up with the goings on at Graven Hill in Channel 4’s new Grand Designs spinoff series Grand Designs: The Street? The six episode serial, presented by Kevin McCloud, follows 10 individuals as they take part in the biggest self build project the UK has seen in Britain’s first ever self and custom build village. We are excited to be constructing a property at Graven Hill ourselves – you can find out more about our journey in the latest Build It Education House feature on page 64.

69% of UK property owners do not love their home, finds a study by BHETA, the UK’s leading trade association for the DIY industry. Only 21% of respondents felt proud of their property, while10% were embarrassed by theirs. When quizzed on home improvements, 30% stated they would be uncomfortable hanging a picture, 40% couldn’t put together flatpack furniture, and only 39% would feel confident redesigning their garden.
