Rural event hooks funds for fly-fishing charity

GUESTS at the 2017 Scottish Rural Awards netted more than £4,000 for breast cancer recovery charity Casting For Recovery (CfR).

More than 400 guests at the event, on Thursday March 16, took part in a whisky raffle and raised £4,763.70 for the charitable fly fishing therapy programme.

CfR has operated in the UK and Ireland for 10 years, and is run by The Countryside Alliance Foundation.
