TIP OF THE FORTNIGHT
Send to multiple people using LocalSend
I was glad to see you give so much space to the new update for LocalSend (Issue 697, page 18 – https://localsend. org). I use it a lot because of how easily it sends files between different types of device. I need to do this often for the club I run. It means from my Android phone I can send to all Apple devices and any computers running macOS, Linux or Windows.
It only works when all recipients are on the same network of course, but that often happens because we have physical club meetings once a week. But to do this I have to change the default from ‘Single recipient’. First, tap or click Send ( 1 in our screenshot) then the cog icon 2 and tick ‘Multiple recipients’ 3 .
It’s not a world-beating tip, but I thought it’s worth highlighting because I bet many users 1 wouldn’t think of selecting that cog icon.

Remove precise areas from images in Paint
I’ve been using Microsoft’s new Generative Erase tool in Paint, as you recommended in Issue 698’s Make Windows Better (page 46). It’s not perfect, but it’s worth trying as a way of removing unwanted items from a picture. You mentioned using your mouse to ‘brush’ over the parts that need removing, but to choose a more precise area you can place a rectangle over it.
