Three filters for your camera bag
Use filters to make the most of your coastal photos
EXTREME ND
With flowing water and changing skies, the coast is the perfect location for exploring long-exposure images. Setting low ISO values and small f/stops will get you down to shutter speeds of 0.5 or 1 sec, so you will need ND (neutral density) filters to enable the longer exposures. The two most useful are the six-stop and 10-stop ND but don’t rule out the three-stop and even the 15-stop ND filters.
A tripod is a prerequisite for long exposures.
