When Lucia Keskin posted a video to YouTube about failing her GCSEs in 2017, it didn’t seem like the obvious route into comedy. Let alone writing and starring in her very own BBC show. However, armed with a selection of wigs and a dry sense of humour, Lucia decided that she didn’t want to work a normal job. She wanted to make people laugh.
Seven years later, she’s racked up nearly half a million followers on YouTube alone, starred in the likes of Channel 4’s Big Boys and Dave’s Sneakerhead, and debuted her very own TV series called Things You Should Have Done. The 23-year-old internet sensation even found accidental fame when she joined a BBC Brexit debate by mistakenly Skyping into the call.
