After making history with his first feature film, This Is Not A Burial, It’s A Resurrection in 2020, Mosotho director Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese, 43, continues to cast the spotlight on the plight of people living in Lesotho, South Africa.
Born and raised in Hlotse, a town near the border, turning the lens to the political and societal struggles in Lesotho is close to Lemohang’s heart.
The self-taught artist’s love affair with films began as a little boy who watched B-grade American movies in a community hall in his hometown. Lemohang’s passion for filmmaking seemed like a farfetched dream with the odds stacked against him.
