New US research has revealed that as little as 30 minutes of exercise per week significantly reduces your risk of developing cervical cancer. Women who admitted to slacking off exercise completely were two-anda-half times more likely to develop the disease than those who were regularly active, even after accounting for smoking, alcohol intake, family history and body mass index. ‘Our findings show any amount of exercise can reduce cervical cancer risk,’ said Kirsten Moysich, senior author of the study. So even at your busiest, try to squeeze as much exercise into your schedule as you can – your health will thank you for it.
