Educating Joey Essex

– What EU Saying?

ITV2, 8pm

The European Referendum is widely considered the most important decision the UK will face during the whole of 2016. The question that will be answered after the nationwide vote on 23 June is this: will we stay in the EU or will we go? So, obviously, when it comes to making such an utterly vital choice, one which could determine our economic and political future for countless years to come, we’ll be wanting advice from this country’s premiere loveable doofus. Enter Joey Essex, who’s really kicking off his latest series of intellectual challenges with a biggie. He’ll be doing his level best to get his head around the confusing business of whether to believe the Brexit or Bremain campaigners. In fairness, Joey’s dogged quest for answers will be aided by the way he totally mastered politics (well, sort of. OK, not in the slightest) on a similar show last year. So hopefully the lad might stand at least a fighting chance of interviewing the likes of Jeremy Corbyn, Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage without coming across like an accidental version of Ali G.But to be perfectly frank, we probably wouldn’t want to bet on that.
