Home Farmer is evolving, but it's still business as usual for readers of our July issue: our 124th magazine, and sadly the last to carry the unique Home Farmer masthead. For more details, please read page 3 of this issue where we explain the new direction, and how by working together with Permaculture Magazine ‒ like Home Farmer, a truly independent publication in an increasingly corporate world, and one whose vision and ethics mirror our own ‒ we can achieve much that we could not have done alone.

But, of course, this is Home Farmer we are talking about, and our very final issue is not intended to be a bland farewell, so we have packed the pages with the same high standard of innovative and imaginative in-depth features that have made Home Farmer popular with its dedicated readership – described by many as “the best smallholding magazine available”. From gardening to livestock and recipe ideas to DIY, our contributors have certainly pulled out all the stops to create a worthy concoction of home farming and practical self-sufficiency, whether you farm many acres or just a couple of well-stocked containers in a courtyard or on a patio.
