R ecognising your horse’s individual traits and feeding needs is a management skill that works hand in hand with applying the science behind nutrition. The importance of providing the right kind of feed is a given, but how do you know whether you’re feeding too much or too little?

As with people, changes to weight can happen gradually and you may not notice until it’s suddenly time to take action. So how can you avoid this and keep your horse in healthy condition throughout the year? The answer lies in reg ular monitoring and portion control.
