What advice would you give to someone who wants to start using sleep-tracking devices at home?
It’s great to have those, but it’s about what you want to use those devices for. If you’re using them as you’re fixated on having the perfect restorative sleep, the simple truth is we do not know what makes sleep restorative as sleep is such a complex phenomenon. Until we have this knowledge, any desire to have perfect sleep is meaningless. Each of us sleep in our own unique way, which is not only determined by who we are and our lifestyle, but our conditions. There will be individuals who need longer sleep and individuals who need shorter sleep duration. There is no generic advice that works for everyone.
