The iPad has always been the ideal platform for creating digital artwork, replacing a larger graphics tablet and computer setup with something much more elegant. Since the introduction of the Apple Pencil and other third-party styluses you have been able to paint digitally for just a fraction of what it would have previously cost. For artists the advantages are many, from a nearinfinite selection of brushes, pencils, textures and colours to support for layers, filters and other creative tools that are not available when using physical paints.
