Grate Expectations
NOPE FOLKS, I haven’t made a Dickens of a spelling error in the article title....(as if, phfft)
Let me explain.....
Dad had taken me and Laoch for a bonny wee walk through the woods tae a secret section of the river Snizort that few folks know about. It has a lovely grassy bank to have a picnic on, a wonderful view of the Cuillin mountain range in the distance, and for me, the river flows wide and gentle, just the ideal spot for a swim...and frog hunting.
Dad says swimming is good for me as I canna walk overly far nowadays, plus, I love swimming anyway.
Sadly, on the way back tae the van, Dad could hear the most horrific grinding noise which transpired was emanating fae my hip joints...
Forget the sound of knives on plates or fingernails on blackboards. This sound surpassed all of those for pittting the shivers up the spine.

Therefore, a visit tae the vet was swiftly arranged, and to Dads surprise, I was telt I didnae need injections or an operation as Dad had feared, but did get some magic potion to take, likely forever, but I’m ok wi’ that.
