Producing seeds from your own plants is great fun and offers many advantages. It is normally done by physically selecting, harvesting, drying and storing seed from all the plants which do well in your garden, so that over time, your seed collection begins to adapt to your own specific conditions But some crops seem programmed to reproduce themselves without any intervention from us. Instead of raising your arms in despair at yet another bolted crop, consider it Mother Nature’s way of helping to simplify your sowing calendar and providing you with free crops.
