nother simple, yet fun game featuring aliens and shooting rockets caught our attention because of one small detail: here everything works the other way round.
Invasion
is a 2D arcade game where you control a flying saucer while the computer shoots missiles at you. The goal of the game is to capture as many objects from Earth as you can. A typical object is a hen, which brings up memories of rural shooters such as
Redneck
Rampage
(note that you can run it with
NRedneck,
see
LXF255).
Capturing a hen involves turning on the alien’s yellow tractor beam, which will slowly lift the hen up inside the saucer. This task turned out to be rather tricky, because your enemy – the game’s AI – aims at you precisely every time and launches deadly missiles on a regular basis.
