After spending six cold months living on a ski hill in British Columbia, Canada, my boyfriend and I headed to the Rocky Mountains for the next part of our working holiday. During our summer there, we decided we’d make the most of every day off and see as much of the area as possible. We’d driven down the Icefields Parkway to see Peyto Lake for our second or third time - it’s a lake so beautiful it simply can’t be all taken in during just one visit. I was pleasantly surprised during this trip to find three beautiful dogs also taking in the view. I wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that the lake is shaped like a wolf! The scene immediately prompted me to get my camera out; having been away from home and my own puppies (Bonnie and Lulu) for seven months at that point, I appreciated the opportunity to photograph other people’s pets and squeeze in a quick cuddle and pat if I could.
