Reading ebooks can be thought-provoking, inspiring, and educational, prompting us to highlight memorable
passages and take copious notes alongside them. Before we know it, though, we end up with an unassailable mountain of highlights that sit unread forever, defeating the whole point of saving notes in the first place.
Readwise aims to change that by making highlights much more accessible. Instead of being confronted with a heap of unsorted notes from your favourite books and articles, Readwise ‘surfaces’ selected quotes in the app and in a round-up email every day, giving you a manageable digest of information that will help you memorise key passages and learn more from the material you have read.
