REWIND A FEW years, and every smartphone manufacturer on the planet was trying to create the thinnest possible device. Apple was no different, opting for a thinner handset over battery capacity in devices like the iPhone 5, 6, and 7. Fast-forward to now, and most companies have got the memo that consumers would prefer a device that lasts all day over a very thin one. Well, at least that’s what I thought.
