HOW DO I UPGRADE THE SSD IN MY MAC MINI M4?
Although it’s physically possible to replace the SSD without soldering, until Apple officially supports that, doing so using a third–party alternative would invalidate both the warranty and AppleCare+. Were Apple to support that, it wouldn’t be cheap, so it’s better to buy the right size to begin with.
HOW DO I CHECK A MAC’S FIRMWARE IS UP TO DATE?
Firmware updates are installed in macOS updates, so by running the latest supported version of macOS, it should be using the latest firmware. SilentKnight (bit.ly/ mac416silentknight) checks this automatically, or you can read it from System Information and check against the lists there.
