CHATGPT IS IN BING, and now Microsoft is busy adding AI Copilots to everything. This is to include Windows itself with the Copilot AI assistant, which integrates AI functions into the desktop and your applications. Want a document summarized or rewritten? Drag and drop it into Copilot. A Microsoft demonstration shows it being asked ‘how can I adjust my system to get work done?’, Copilot then suggests a few options, and provides links so you can select them without delving into Settings. Ask for a Spotify playlist, and it’ll generate a selection. More complex jobs can be automated too, opening applications for specified tasks, then sending the result to a contact list, all through text prompts. It will, apparently, “change how you use your PC forever” according to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Copilot will be available for preview in June.
