A recent preview build of Windows included a neat new feature: tabs in File Explorer. The Mac has had these for years, but in Windows, you have to resort to opening multiple copies of File Explorer. The feature is currently hidden, and it’s not clear how it will function yet. It’s still early days and too buggy for a preview build.
The latest build also includes a new browser-based video editor called Clipchamp. The demand for basic editing is high, thanks to social media, and the discontinued Windows Movie Maker is sorely missed. The basic version will be free, but you’ll have to subscribe for high definition. Win11 has struggled to be loved, something Microsoft has been addressing with each update. Explorer tabs will be a useful improvement. –CL
