SOME BANDS BEND the boundaries of music. Igorrr twist them until they snap. The very definition of an ‘avant-garde metal’ band; their melting pot of genres and styles have been such a hit that they’re selling out club venues nowadays, albeit with a two-year wait thanks to the pandemic. Still, that’s neither here nor there right now, because the atmosphere inside the Fleece is at fever pitch for the outfit started by Frenchman Gautier Serre. It renders support act OTTO VON SCHIRACH little more than a side attraction and, whilst his dark, industrial hip hop isn’t entirely a trainwreck, there’s no hiding the faces of those who are only watching him to secure their spot for the main event.
