THE PLACE TO BE
FEW LANDSCAPES on Earth are more beautiful than Canada’s. Take the colors. The lakes are an electric, almost fake blue. Boreal forests low in waves of deep viridian green as high as the tree line, where the temperature drops too low for pine, spruce or larch to grow. Above, gray mountains are iced white with snow. In fall, the bright vermilion of maple leaves sets the valleys alight. Throw in the aurora borealis, and you have a veritable psychedelic trip.
