With the ninth episodic Star Wars film, The Rise of Skywalker, premiering Dec. 20th, Topps continues their tradition of a “Journey to” lead-up set to tie the movies together and introduce the new film. Topps’ Susan Lulgjuraj gave NSU a quick rundown of what to expect from this new set. The 110-card base set on Heritage stock will include a first look at The Rise of Skywalker. Parallels with colored borders in green, silver, black, orange, gold, and red will be found. Hobby boxes will contain 24 parallels and 24 inserts. Insert sets include Character Stickers, Illustrated Character Cards, Schematics, and a Kylo Ren Continuity set, which will feature five cards from this and two upcoming sets. Blaster Boxes will also contain special inserts, Battle Lines (Walmart) and Choose Your Destiny (Target). Hobby boxes will feature two hits, at least one a guaranteed autograph. Other hits: Com- memorative patch cards (also available in numbered parallels), Printing Plates, and Sketch cards. The autographs will include single, dual, triple and sixperson versions featuring legendary stars from across the saga such as Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, Billie Lourd, and Laura Dern.
