Communicating with friends, family and other people in our community has never been easier in this age of internet and social media.
Most of us will use Facebook daily basis and it’s a popular way for people to discuss what’s happening in their communities with other people who live there. Oban is no different.
However, last week councillors at the Oban, Lorn and the Isles area committee raised concerns about members of the public who are quick to criticise online, writing inflamatory comments about councillors – including some very personal attacks – on Facebook without getting in touch directly and giving them the chance to try to address the problem first.
