A campaign to oTher CPR training to every secondary school pupil in Scotland has received backing from Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron.
The campaign, which is being led by the British Heart Foundation, has so far received backing from 23 of Scotland’s 32 local authorities, with Argyll and Bute Council yet to commit to it.
Mr Cameron said: ‘I welcome this campaign by the British Heart Foundation to ensure more young people are aware of what to do if another pupil or member of the school requires urgent CPR. It is important that as many people as possible are equipped with the facts and training in order to save lives. I have written to Argyll and Bute Council to encourage it to get behind this worthwhile initiative.’
