There are two stories in The Oban Times this week that will resonate with a large number of people in the town and across the Argyll area.
One is the continuing recovery from extremely serious injuries of Agnes MacKechnie, the well-known Oban woman who was hurt in a dreadful hit-and-run accident at Hallowe’en while she was on holiday in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the United States.
The other is the tragically untimely death of Janice Alexander, an enormously popular figure at Oban High School, where she worked, and with everyone involved in Oban Saints youth football, to which she devoted a large amount of time and energy.
