A NATIVITY story told through the eyes of a donkey packed Rockfield Primary School. Principal teacher Elaine Camp-bell said: ‘Our nativity was performed in front of a very large audience by our nursery and primary one children. In all, more than 100 children were involved in the performance. The nativity was called Away in a Manger and was the traditional nativity story told through the eyes of Maurice the donkey who was very upset at all the commotion in his stable.
‘The story was narrated by the four school captains. The children sang, acted and played instruments and it was a fantastic success.
‘The children all worked so hard and we are very proud of them all. It was so well supported by parents and wider school community and many stayed behind afterwards to enjoy a cup of tea and a mince pie.’
