Car scenes get a lot of stick at the best of times, not just from the external pressures from the government, the law and regular Joes who just don’t get it, but also from the internet haters, the negatrons and fame chasers from within the communities. With all of these adverse opinions, you can be forgiven for thinking that it’s a gloomy, lonesome and downright unfriendly place to find yourself in. However, anyone with a sense to actually go out and approach some of these ‘cliques’ will be surprised to find some genuine down-to-earth enthusiasts with nothing but love for all things powered by fuel along with their fellow fanbois.
RollHard has been a staple name in the car scene for a good while now, and from what started as a group of friends with similar tastes in cars has turned into a huge family who are welcoming to a variety of styles. Never pigeonholing itself into one scene or another, it has gone on to not only to have some awe-inspiring cars but host some brilliant events too.
After a long hiatus from organising an event, a plan was struck and the recently reworked Coventry Motoring Museum was secured in advance as a venue. Aron Norris, one of the original members of RollHard told us: “I saw the museum on Instagram last year, and whenever I see a cool venue, I always consider it for a location for a meet. So whilst the museum was doing a renovation, we booked it for a meet in 2015.” The idea was to have a 70-80 car mini meet, with an invite to the friends of RollHard. People could see the museum, grab something to eat and chat about cars. Pretty much what the scene is all about.
