Who or what is a “bumrush”?
l Bumrush was the first in a series of action-thrillers, culminating in Bumrush 7, when elite commando Barry Bum (Sylvester Stallone) teamed up again with old Marine buddy Chuck Rush (Vin Diesel) in order to form a covert elite services squadron “The
Bumrushes”. The two heroes parachuted into dangerous international situations such as Wakanda and Terorista to save the world from evil people with moustaches. The franchise ran out when Chuck and Barry were so old they could no longer get in the helicopter or run through the compound of the dreaded villain’s lair with gas cannisters exploding behind them in slow motion. I loved them all, especially the iconic Bumrush 4, which for some reason flopped at the box office, despite co-starring Pamela Anderson who married them both and was known as Sylvia Bum-Rush.
