MUSIC Galahad guitarist calls on musical friends for latest solo album.
Written while the current Covid pandemic was raging all around, lockdown was still something people adhered to and while we imagined there might be some end in sight, there’s little wonder then that Lee Abraham’s latest solo record has the feel of a man throwing musical ideas at a wall to see what works in a world where all bets are suddenly off. Recorded in seclusion with remotely recorded vocals from five different singers, it’s a patchwork of ideas and styles that sometimes sound like unrealised sketches, though there are some real moments of standout splendid isolation, but this is more Abraham and friends flexing their song writing muscles to greater and lesser degrees.
