Lebanese producer/multi-instrumentalist Charif Megarbane, AKA Cosmic Analog Ensemble, has allegedly released 100 albums in just over a decade. His latest, Expo Botanica (Hisstology), is a wacky selection of wonky lounge and woozy psych. Jaunty tracks, such as La Grande Bellezza and Vol De Jour, are pitched somewhere between Burt Bacharach and Peaches En Regalia-era Zappa on an unusual record that might well be Matt Berry’s cup of tea.
