PRESS/MICK BANNISTER
Where’s home?
I’m from Sheffield.
Your earliest prog memory?
When I was about 12 my older brother borrowed a schoolmate’s copy of Jethro Tull’s Aqualung, and I remember thinking it was different. There was all sorts of stuff going on – it was intriguing.
First prog album you bought?
Selling
England
By
The
Pound by Genesis, the year it came out [1973], from a shop in Sheffield called Wilson Peck, which sold albums and musical instruments.
And the last?
A View From The Top Of The World by Dream Theater. I’m a pretty big fan – Ithink that album’s great.
