JETHRO TULL
The Château D’Hérouville Sessions WARNER
‘Lost’ album from the Château D’Isaster gets a vinyl release.
In 1973, Jethro Tull followed up their popular parody concept album Thick As ABrick with APassion Play, another concept album – only this was one that the band took a little more seriously. It’s arguably Tull’s most progressive album, certainly their most inventive and lyrically acerbic, but it marked the end of the band’s honeymoon period with the press. Its poor reception led Tull manager Terry Ellis to declare that the band had split up – much to Ian Anderson’s annoyance.
