NEW ROLES

CANISIA LUBRIN has joined McClelland & Stewart as poetry editor. Lubrin will acquire and edit five collections of poetry per year. “I will be particularly moved by poetry that envisions the broadness of the world to surprising, inspiring results,” she tells Q&Q.

AWARDS

The Writers’ Trust of Canada has launched a $60,000 prize for public policy writing as part of tech entrepreneur JIM BALSILLIE’s $3-million commitment to the non-profit. The BALSILLIE PRIZE FOR PUBLIC POLICY is now open for submissions, with finalists to be chosen by a jury of writers and experts.
