You hold between your hands the greatest of our hobby over the last year. Over 150 games are reviewed amidst these pages, an exciting wander through the breadth of the hobby.
Not only did 2023 contain the most Must Play game ratings we’ve ever awarded, but it also seemed determined to go out with a bang, with the stellar Ticket To Ride Legacy: Legends of the West taking the most recent award. With the great behemoths of Rob Daviau, Matt Leacock, and Alan R. Moon behind it, each responsible for huge strides in tabletop gaming, it’s perhaps no surprise we’re recommending it for your shelves. Add that to the tremendous Lorcana release, finally getting to play the much anticipated Frosthaven, and some truly incredible games in between, it's fair to say this year has been a great one.
Many of us are of the age to remember circling items in the Argos catalogue to hint at our holiday wishlist, and whilst I’m not saying that’s what you should do… I’m not not saying that either. Whether you’re debating your newest indulgence, or wondering what to purchase for a loved one, we’re pretty confident your next favourite game can be found right here.
We can’t thank you enough for joining us on this journey, and we look forward to seeing you at the table into 2024, where our editorship passes over to the familiar face of Charlie Pettit.
