Even if few of the songs are in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s class, Hamilton’s auteur handles Jonathan Larson’s “rock monologue” respectfully. Riff-driven opener ‘30/90’ showcases Andrew Garfield’s capable voice well; meanwhile, ‘Come To Your Senses’ dishes heartfelt power-balladry and ‘Boho Days’ is infectiously frisky. Some other tunes offer more tick than boom, but the lovely ‘Why’ justifies Miranda’s investment nicely.
