A fresher approach to writing prizes

The Fresher Writing Prize 2017 from Bournemouth University’s Fresher Publishing imprint is open for entries from unpublished, emerging writers of fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry. The winners’ prizes emphasize writer development.

There are various entry categories and prizes: short story (win feedback and advice on a sample of work from Picador editorial director Francesca Main; creative non-fiction (win a one-to-one with Ed Peppit of Balloon Publishing and; poetry and flash fiction (in both categories, win a professionally produced podcast of your work), and the first 500 words of a novel (win a one-to-one with literary agent Madeleine Milburn). All winners will have the opportunity to be published in Fresher Writing Volume 3.
