Create a gorgeous herb garden
If you’d love to grow your own vegetables but don’t have the space for a large patch, why not try a herb garden? Herbs grown in beds or pots positioned close to your house will make it really easy to snip off a sprig or two to add to home-made meals, as well as bringing a beautiful aroma to your garden. Annual and biennial herbs such as basil, coriander, and parsley are fast-growing and should ideally be sown at intervals throughout the summer, to ensure a continuous supply. Perennial herbs such as oregano, mint, rosemary and chives are slower growing and so may be better in a more permanent home. Ideally herbs should be grown in a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil – always follow the planting instructions on the packet and keep well-watered. Choose decorative containers for a pretty, cottage garden look.
